The Great Wall Deer (Chinese: 长城迪尔; pinyin: Chángchéng Díěr) is a pickup truck manufactured by the Chinese automaker Great Wall Motors. It is a badge engineered[citation needed] version of the sixth generation Toyota Hilux. It is the pickup version of the Great Wall Safe SUV, and it has been China's most popular pickup truck for over nine years. It is also Great Wall's first pickup to be produced in China.
It has also seen a certain success in the export, for instance to Africa and Latin America. Production commenced in March 1996 and ceased in June 2013. Pricing ranged from CN¥46,700−49,000 (US$7,375−7,739) for single cab, CN¥48,500−55,000 (US$7,660−8,686) for one and a half cab, CN¥58,800−73,800 (US$9,286−11,655) for standard wheelbase and CN¥62,800−75,800 (US$9,918−11,971) for long wheelbase double cab models.
