PCL-181 are Chinese 155 mm vehicle-mounted howitzers used by the People's Liberation Army.[1] The PCL-181 replaced the 'PL-66 152-mm towed gun-howitzers' and 'Type 59-1 130-mm towed cannons' used by the PLA and will complement the PLZ-05, and improve upon its functionality in many ways. Due to its comparatively lighter weight, the PCL-181 can also be transported in a Shaanxi Y-9.[1] It is equipped with an 'automatic fire control system'.[1] The PCL-181 made its first public appearance during the Chinese National Day Parade on 1 October 2019.[2][3]
