A statue of the Confederate States of America cavalry general Williams Carter Wickham was installed in Richmond, Virginia's Monroe Park, near Virginia Commonwealth University's main campus.
Erected in 1891, the sculpture was toppled in June 2020 during the George Floyd protests.[1] The statue was pulled from its base and tumbled to the ground.[2]
