Patrick Chichester, 8th Marquess of Donegall

The Most Hon. (Arthur) Patrick Chichester, 8th Marquess of Donegall (born 9 May 1952), known as The Hon. Patrick Chichester from 1953 until 1975, and the Earl of Belfast from 1975 to April 2007, is an Irish peer, former officer of the Coldstream Guards and a landowner.

The eldest son of The 7th Marquess of Donegall, he succeeded his father in April 2007.[1]

He and his descendants hold 1/100th of the role of Lord Great Chamberlain due to the splitting of the role between sisters where no heirs male exist.

He was educated at Harrow School and the Royal Agricultural College.[2]

Lord Donegall is married to Caroline Philipson (born 1959).[2] They have two children:

They live near Arthurstown in the south-west of County Wexford.
