With 25 produced feature films, Jon Keeyes made his filmmaking debut in 2000 with American Nightmare. This critically acclaimed psychological thriller starring Debbie Rochon followed serial killer Jane Toppan on Halloween night as she brings to life the fears of a group of friends. Now considered a cult classic, American Nightmare remains in distribution throughout the world.

Jon went on to write, direct and produce Suburban Nightmare, receiving rave reviews including numerous “top ten” lists. This was followed by directing the 80’s throwback horror movie Hallow’s End for ThinkFilm Company, followed by the crime thriller Mad Bad released by Maverick Entertainment.

In 2006, Jon wrote, directed and produced Living & Dying for New Films International. An intense crime caper about two killers that turn the tables on a trio of robbers during a hostage stand-off, Living & Dying stars Edward Furlong, Michael Madsen, Arnold Vosloo, and Bai Ling. Living & Dying was released by HBO in 2007 along with an international theatrical release through Warner Bros. Independent. Jon went on to direct and produce the thriller Fall Down Dead starring Dominique Swain, Udo Kier, and David Carradine. Combining elements of Panic Room and Saw, it was released theatrically by Warner Bros. in the international market and received a limited theatrical release domestically.

Most recently, Jon directed the Victorian-era murder mystery Phobia starring Erica Leerhsen, as well as the psychological crime thriller Element starring Michael Ironside and Steven Michael Quezada of Breaking Bad fame. He also wrote, directed and produced Nightmare Box in England, touring the worldwide film festival circuit, and winning awards including 4 Best Movie Awards, Best Actress, and Best Cinematography.

Jon’s most current directorial work is the supernatural horror movie The Harrowing. Starring Matthew Tompkins, Michael Ironside and Arnold Vosloo, The Harrowing is an intelligent, stylish horror movie to be released in 2018.

Besides writing and directing, Jon is also an accomplished producer with fifteen movies to his credit.
