For the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest, Cyprus entered "Genesis", performed by Michalis Hatzigiannis.

Before Eurovision

National final

The final was held on 1 March 1998 at the Monte Caputo Nightclub in Limassol, hosted by Marina Maleni and Loukas Hamatsos. The winner was chosen by an "expert" jury.
