Margarita Bolaños Arquín (born 1953) is a Costa Rican politician and anthropologist who acted as the president of the Citizens' Action Party.[1]

Bolaños studied anthropology at the University of Costa Rica, and received an MS at the University of Kansas in 1999. She was a researcher and professor at the University of Chile and the University of Costa Rica. She was elected the secretary general of the Citizens' Action Party in 2009, which she served as under the then President of the Citizens' Action Party, Elizabeth Fonseca Corrales, until 2013. She was elected the president of the National Executive Committee of the party on 17 March 2015.[2]
