The Croatian Fourth league (Croatian: Prva županijska liga, or commonly 1. ŽNL) is a fourth level league in the Croatian football league system.[note 1]

Subdivisions

The teams are divided into 9 subdivisions competing in a double round-robin format. At the end of each season, the bottom teams are relegated to the respective county's Second league while the winners of each league are either promoted directly to Treća HNL or enter a two-legged playoff to gain promotion.[1]

Notes

  1. ^ There used to be Četvrta HNL, a fourth tier of Croatian National League but it was dissolved in 2012.
