Quartz Football Club is an Indian football club from Kozhikode. Formed in 1976 the club was an amateur and academy side until 2011. In December 2011, they announced their intention to turn professional and were accepted into the I-League 2nd Division, the second tier of football in India.[1] They spent one season in the division, and as of 2019[update] they play in the Kerala Premier League.
History
Quartz Football Club was founded in 1976 in Kerala and since has been growing up step by step from district to state to national level. The Quartz Academy started in 2009 and has shown good promise.
In December 2011, they were officially certified by the All India Football Federation to participate in the I-League 2nd Division, the second tier of football in India. I-League players Rino Anto, Sabas Saleel, K. Noushad, Manoj Manoharan, Sherin Sam, Kamardeep Singh, Suji Kumar, J. Prasad, P.M. Britto, Salil Usman and Ajmaluddin and V.V. Farhad, the top-scorer and Player-of-the-Tournament at the last Santosh Trophy, were signed up by the club for 2012 I-League 2nd Division but failed to gain promotion to the top tier.[2]
I league
The Indian FA are all set to invite bids for that vacant spot in the I-League and Calicut-based Kozhikode Quartz Football Club are one of the front-runners to submit the bid 2020-21.
Colours and badge
Unveiled during the 21 July Quartz launch, the crest features the Mananchira Gardens coloured in white in order to symbolize "victory" from when they won the Kozhikode back.

Fans
A club recognised Kozhikode fan club by the name Rose Brigade has been in support since 2017. The EMS Stadium has seen an average attendance of 45,000. The players and the coach have often acknowledged the fans' support in the success and called them The 12th Man .
Stadium
Kozhikode Quartz FC played all its home matches in the EMS Stadium which was located in the heart of the Calicut city. The West stand was the largest and could accommodate the maximum number of people.
Rivalry
The Original Rivalry
Kozhikode Quartz and Gokulam Kerala enjoys an on field rivalry. The first Kozhikode Derby match between these two team took place on champion and Runners-up in 2017–18 Kerala Premier League.
