Laxman Narasimhan (born 1967/1968) is an Indian-American business executive, who is the chief executive (CEO) of Reckitt Benckiser, having previously been chief commercial officer at PepsiCo.
Early life
Narasimhan earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, Savitribai Phule Pune University, India, an MA in German and International Studies from The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.[2][3]
Career
Narasimhan worked for McKinsey for 19 years until 2012, rising to director and location manager for their New Delhi office.[2] In 2012, he joined PepsiCo, rising to chief commercial officer.[2]
He succeeded Rakesh Kapoor as CEO of Reckitt Benckiser in September 2019.[3][4]
He is a trustee of the Brookings Institution in Washington DC, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City.[citation needed]
Personal life
Narasimhan is married, with two children, and lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.[5] He speaks six languages.[3]
