Khalishpur (Bengali: খালিশপুর) is a Metropolitan thana of Khulna Metropolitan Police[1] in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh.
Geography
Khalishpur is located at 22°51′00″N 89°32′10″E / 22.8500°N 89.5361°E. It has 35343 households and total area 12.35 km2.
Demographics
As of 1991[update] Bangladesh census, Khalishpur has a population of 173255. Males constitute 55.95% of the population, and females 44.05%. Population over the age of 18 was 96193. Khalishpur has an average literacy rate of 59.8% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[2]
