Preseason

The Cowboys' preseason opponents and schedule will be announced in the spring. The Cowboys would have played the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio during the 2020 preseason, and the Cowboys were to represented by head coach Jimmy Johnson and safety Cliff Harris. However, the game and the annual Hall of Fame enshrinement were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Hall of Fame game between the Cowboys and Steelers was rescheduled for 2021.[1]

Regular season

2021 opponents

Listed below are the Cowboys' opponents for 2021. The length of the season is contingent on whether the league expands the regular season from 16 to 17 games. If this happens, a 17th game would match the Cowboys against a interconference opponent from one of the three divisions from the AFC that the Cowboys are not scheduled to play in 2021, which will be based on division placement from 2020.[2] If this game is added, then the Cowboys will play either the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, or Houston Texans in that game.

Exact dates and times will be announced in the spring.
