Amara Piyaseeli Ratnayake is a Sri Lankan politician and current Governor of the North Western Province of Sri Lanka. She was former member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka[1] and a former government minister.[2] She is a longstanding member of the Sri Lanka's biggest political party The United National Party. She was the Minister of Woman's affairs in the 2001-2004 UNP government. She entered politics from Kurunegala after her husbands death.
