Azendohsauridae was a family of Allokotosaurian Archosauromorphs which lived around 245-216 million years ago. As of 2017[update] three genera are recognized as having belonged to the family: Azendohsaurus, Pamelaria and Shringasaurus.[1][2]
Repartition
The fossils of Azendohsauridae were found in Morocco, India, South Africa, Antarctica and maybe in Canada.
Description
Azendohsauridae was a family of massive herbivorous Allokotosaurians with long necks and small heads. Their size ranged from a little less than 1,5 m to more than 4 m in length and an average weight of 40 to 200 kg depending on the species.
