Bern regional airport (IATA: BRN, ICAO: LSZB), which serves Bern, Switzerland, is actually closer to the village of Belp. It is therefore usually known as Bern Belp.
The airport has one runway of 1,730 metres (5,676ft). The ILS was scheduled to become operational in September 2008.
Two bus lines serve the airport: a bus line opened in March 2009 connects the terminal to Bern Rail Station (line 334), and a second one connects the airport to the towns of Belp and Münsingen (line 160).
The Biderhangar, one of the airport's hangars built by Swiss aviation pioneer Oskar Bider, is listed as a heritage site of national significance in the November 2008 review draft of the Swiss Inventory of Cultural Property of National and Regional Significance.
