Bijiang District (simplified Chinese: 碧江区; traditional Chinese: 碧江區; pinyin: Bìjiāng Qū), is the seat of the city of Tongren, Guizhou province, People's Republic of China. The area was known as Tongren City (铜仁市) until November 2011, when it was renamed Bijiang District.[1] The district has an area of 1,514 square kilometres (585 sq mi) and has a population of 340,000.[when?]
