Cannabis in Romania is illegal for recreational use but permitted for medical use.

Prohibition

In 1928 Romania established laws for countering narcotics, including hashish and its preparations.[1]

Medical cannabis

Romania became the tenth EU country to legalize medical marijuana in 2013.[2]
