Where there kapos outside of the Holocaust? I think a better name could be if not just Category:Kapos than Category:Concentration camp kapos per the main article (kapo (concentration camp). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:09, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nay on concentration camp - as kapos existed elsewhere - e.g. in extermination camps. Plain kapos... I don't think Super Mario's Koopa Troopa would be confusing, and per wiktionary this is the sole use in English for kapo with a k. However, there is the issue with the Italian "capo" ([1]) which is used in English - e.g. for mob boss. Furthermore, Kapo does list a whole lot of other meanings, including current Estonian police and Swiss Kantonspolizei. So as long as we have Kapo as a disambig, I don't think we should have the category using one particular historic meaning. Icewhiz (talk) 08:51, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
extermination camp redirects to concentration camps, so for us it seems the are the same. And again, this is the disambig chosen for kapo (concentration camp) (to which I am not opposed if you'd like to rename it). My point is we should be consistent. PS. The discussion is moot as it seems another editor renamed this category already.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:09, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@DagosNavy: - at present Kapo (and Kapos) is a disambig - listing multiple others - including present day Estonian Internal Security Service (KaPo) and Cantonal police (abbreviation of Kantonspolizei). Icewhiz (talk) 07:31, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps a WP:CFD discussion would be in order regarding the best name. That said, I think kapo is the most common name for that, and perhaps kapo disamgib and kapo cc article should be switched around. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:11, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
