Do we use this category only for peole for which there is proof that they were members of the NSDAP? Or do we also include people who approved of Nazi ideology or gave political support. I would prefer the first option, but regardless what we choose, it should be stated explicitly. Andries 18:15, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think Andries makes a valid point. Personally I would say that only full members of the NSDAP should be included in this category. non-members/sympathisers should be shifted to a separate category in the interests of clarity. Kingsbury 18.12, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

I had a question of this nature at Talk:Otto Beisheim. Please take a look. NTK 03:58, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hungarian Nazis[edit]

There are a few people in this group labeled as Hungarian Nazis. However, Hungary did not have a Nazi party. I would suggest to move these people into a category called Fascists or something similar. They should be labeled as Anti-Semites as well. (Eddie 00:26, 8 July 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Name?[edit]

German WP uses the de:Kategorie:NSDAP-Mitglied for 1739 articles about NSDAP Nazi party members. I'd say Category:NSDAP members would be a category better fitting to an encyclopedia. Besides, some Hitler youth were automatically registered as party members in the last years of the war. -- Matthead  Discuß   21:17, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are two different categories, de:Kategorie:NSDAP-Mitglied for membership, and de:Nationalsozialismus (Person). --Pjacobi (talk) 08:45, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Diffuse[edit]

I've tried to diffuse all articles that were directly put in this category. For some 20 articles this wasn't possible because the article did not clearly express if the person was really a member of the Nazi party, or anything else more specific. Not sure what to do with them, purging would not be very appropriate either. Marcocapelle (talk) 19:56, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
