Celebrity Edge is The First Edge Class cruise ship owned by Celebrity Cruises. It is the 1st representative of the company’s upcoming Edge Class of ships.
Celebrity Edge is currently under construction at the STX shipyard in France. The vessel is scheduled to depart on her maiden voyage in December 2018.
Three other members of the Edge Class are planned to enter service between 2020-2022, Celebrity Apex (2020), Celebrity Beyond (2021) and a yet to be named ship (2022) [1]

November 21st, 2016 - the vessel's construction started.
She was launched on 22 January 2018 [2]
On July 27, 2018, Celebrity Edge began her first sea trials.[3]
Second and final round of the ship's sea trials will take place in September 2018.[4]
Description
Celebrity Edge will have a tonnage of 129,500 GT and double occupancy of 2,908 passengers.
The newbuild’s onboard amenities will include the innovative moving deck called The Magic Carpet serving different purposes (disembarkation point, dining venue, etc.) [5], three-deck multi-purpose Eden Lounge, the Rooftop Garden playscape, the adults-only Solarium, and many other exciting public venues.
Celebrity Edge accommodation will include several classes of staterooms (Inside, Ocean View, Verandas, Suites). Besides, the liner will offer the company’s first staterooms for solo-travelers and the Infinite Veranda that will appear on the ocean-going vessels for the first time. [1]
The ship will have the company's most technologically advanced theatre.[6]
Route
Celebrity Edge will be homeported in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and operate Caribbean sailings.
In the spring of 2019, the liner will take the Transatlantic voyage. She’ll spend summer 2019 cruising around Europe and the Mediterranean. She’s scheduled to return to Fort Lauderdale in November 2019.
Bookings for the ship’s Preview Sailings and Maiden Voyage as well as for her further cruises are already open.
