Celebrity Xploration is a luxury catamaran owned by Celebrity Cruises. As well as Celebrity Xperience, she was previously owned by the Galapagos operator Ocean Adventures. Two vessels joined Celebrity Xpedition operating cruises in this region after extensive refurbishment. [1]
Celebrity Xploration began sailings under the new flag in March 2017. [2]
Description
This small ship has a tonnage of just 319.5 GT and a capacity of 16 guests.
Celebrity Xploration features 8 luxury cabins of two types: Elite Ocean View and Junior Suite. The catamaran's onboard amenities include the Dining Room, open-air dining venue Al Fresco, Sun Deck with the sunbeds and hot tub, and cozy Lounge.
In August 2017, Nathaly Albán became the Xploration’s Captain and the 1st woman captain of the cruise ship in the Galapagos region. [3]
