Chhalgari
The Chhalgari[1] or Chhalgri [2] (Sindhi: ڇلگري) is a sub-tribe of Marri found in Sindh and Balochistan, divided into two groups, Jhanda khail and wadera khail. The leader of both the clans is Mir Ismail Khan, son of Mir Jhanda Khan. The Jhanda Khail and Wadera Khail are located in Kachhi region. They are considered to be the only clan that have never been involved in wars within Balochs.[citation needed]
History
People of Chhalgri tribe were lived in Harnai mountain latter they migrated to kachhi region of Balochistan[citation needed] People of Chhalgri tribe came into Sindh with Talpurs & almost 500 chhalgri soldiers were recruited in Talpurs's Army. Chhalgri tribe participated & fought in Battle of Maini under the flag of talpurs.[citation needed]
Etymology
Chhalgari or Chhalgri is originally derived from Pashto dialact "Chalgari" or Wanetsi also called Tarino which is spoken by Tareen tribes in Pakistan and Afghanistan, principally in Harnai and Sinjwani area of east Quetta, Northern Balochistan.[citation needed]
