Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs (Indonesian: Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman) is the Indonesian government ministry in charge of planning and policy co-ordination, as well as synchronisation of policies in the maritime affairs.[1] Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs is, the person who led the ministry, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

Portfolio and Function

The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs has the responsibility to co-ordinate, synchronize and control the Ministry's responsibilities in Maritime affairs. The coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs has functions to [1]

  • co-ordinate and synchronise of formulation, establishment and implementation ministries policies in maritime affairs
  • control ministries policies implementation in maritime affairs
  • co-ordinate the implementation of the task, development, and providing administrative support to all elements of the organisation within the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs
  • co-ordinate and synchronise maritime state resilience development and maritime resources management
  • co-ordinate maritime infrastructure building policies
  • manage of state wealth in the responsibility of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs
  • supervise the execution of duties in the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs
  • execute of certain tasks given by the President
