DeAnna Marie Price (born June 8, 1993, in Moscow Mills, Missouri) is an American track and field athlete competing primarily in the hammer throw.[3] She represented her country at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing[4] without qualifying for the final. A month before the World Championships, Price finished fourth at the 2015 Pan American Games.[5] Then two weeks later. Price picked up her first international medal by taking a silver behind Campbell at the 2015 NACAC Championships.[6] DeAnna Price placed third in hammer behind Team USA teammates Amber Campbell and Gwen Berry at the 2016 United States Olympic Trials[7] and represented the United States at 2016 Olympics, finishing eighth.[8]
Her personal best in the hammer is 78.12 m (256 ft 3 in), the (pending) American record, set at the 2018 National Championships. The throw ranks her at the #4 women's thrower in history.
While throwing for Southern Illinois University, she won back to back NCAA titles in the hammer throw. Has endured a series of injuries and only has one kidney.[9]
