Diana Lado is a Spanish-American actress[1] and television personality in Hollywood.[2] Born in Barcelona, Lado studied in London until she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she currently resides. [3][4]

Education

Lado grew up in Barcelona, Spain, writing and performing theater in her school. When Lado was a teenager she began her career on the National Spanish Television TVE1. She acted in a short and in a feature film before moving to London, in the United Kingdom.[3] While in the U.K., she attended the Central School of Ballet in London and studied Semiotics at the University of London. Lado graduated in Law at Pompeu Fabra University and she is published as a Law author in Spain and as a Film journalist in Italy.[3][4]

Work

In 2016 Lado is an up-and-coming actress in Los Angeles, appearing in 7 independent films between 2012 and 2016, including the lead role in the American short film Queen.[1][3]

The actress directed a digital campaign for Reebok in Central Park, New York, in 2015.[3] That same year, Lado curated Brian Yuzna, a Retrospective, a film that was shown at the Soho House theater in Hollywood.[1][5] She is the first official Brand Ambassador of Freixenet,[6] being the face of the brand at Sundance Film Festival,[7][8] and Tribeca Film Festival.[3]

Lado's creative work for brands, as Cultural Director and as Cool Hunter,[9][10][11][12] has been featured in prestigious international publications, including Vogue.[6]

Style

Lado's fashion style has been documented on magazines[13][14][15][16] and best-dressed lists.[17][18] Often associated with the fashion industry,[19] she is a regular at the front rows of the prominent London Fashion Week[20] and New York Fashion Week shows.[21][22] Lado collaborates with clothing brands like Topshop, for which she hosted the "Top 10 Influential Women of LA" during Oscars week 2014 in Hollywood.[3][6]

Personal life

Lado is part of the international Arts circuit,[23][24] and she is frequently seen with other young Hollywood talents.[25][26][27] An event she hosted in New York City for Carolina Herrera was named "the most exclusive party in New York" by Glamour.[28] Lado is named "The Coolest Girl In The Room" by the LA Weekly[29] and "marvelous" by Spanish site Tendencias TV.[30] Since November 2015, she is a contributor for ¡Hola! from Los Angeles.[31]

A declared passionate philanthropist, Lado serves as an advocate for charity causes like the Harapan Project in Indonesia, and supports AmfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.[3][32][33]
