Gustavo Araujo da Silva (born September 26, 2007), known by his stage name Chavão888, is a Brazilian rapper, songwriter and mixing and mastering engineer.[1]
Career[edit]
His musical career began in 2020, when the artist founded his independent record label called Freestyle Music Group, which ended up getting a contract with the distributor Symphonic Brazil.[2] So in the middle of 2022 he ended up releasing his first single entitled "Deixa Eu Te Levar", through a vote that the singer himself made on his instagram account.[3]
In October of the same year he released another single called "De Nike No Pé", which got a thousand views on YouTube and five thousand views on Genius,[4] and the single "Deixa Eu Te Levar" ended up receiving a remix in Slowed & Reverb, made by DJ and music producer VYX999, this remix ended up being released by the Sony Music distributor called The Orchard Music.[5]

Chavão888 was born in 2007, in the suburbs of São Paulo, as a child the singer suffered from various family problems, most of which involved his uncle.[6]
He began composing and producing music at the age of 11, using the computer his grandmother had. At the age of 12, he learned to play the guitar after he and his family moved to Diadema. At the age of 13, he was nicknamed "Chavão" because of the style of clothing worn by rappers and skateboarders, and it was at the age of 13 that he began performing at his school, singing Funk.[7]
