Summary of Video games WikiProject open tasks:

Concurrently there is a sequal to the xbox version being developed. It hasn't been officaly announced as to which next generation console it will launch for. The XBOX 360 and PS3 are both being considered, however only one will win the bid.

Your sure its not ultimately decided for to go for the Xbox 360? Making it for Sony would seem to betray Xbox users. -- Psi Edit

Itagaki interview. He thinks the Xbox 360 is better than the PS3, why develop for something that's hard to develop for / "worse?" :D Alexander 10:15, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Whoa...cool....thanks for pointing that out. --Psi edit

The NinjaGaiden OVA

If I remember correctly, wasn't there an OVA for NinjaGaiden released somewhere around the early 90's? From what I can find about it, it was a one episode mini-movie, about 49 minutes long. I'm not positive on this though, it'd be nice to be corrected if I'm wrong about this.

Well your link does make sense (Ninja Gaiden was originally Ninja Ryukuden). --PSi edit

There was recently (<1 week ago) a fansub of it released (I'm pretty sure it's not licensed for distribution in the USA, but I could be mistaken). I don't remember the exact runtime, but 49 minutes sounds about right, and it is a standalone. There's no real references to when it takes place relative to the NES games, though from what some of the characters said, it's after the second or third. I was going to write up a little blurb about it later this week, though it'd be entirely a plot summary since I don't have any non-original sources to go by.Virogtheconq 15:09, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I downloaded but but haven't had much chance to sit down and watch it. I'll add a little plot blurb when I do.

Split?

The infobox looks kinda weird up there since this article covers all the games. How about making a Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) article and moving the stuff there? Thunderbrand 01:46, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone could also make an infobox for the other games. I don't really think there's enough to justify a full article for every one of the games.Virogtheconq 02:13, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah sorry about the poor infobox. I couldnt find a good quality boxart image of the First Xbox title or the other titles. Id be happy to assist with infobox and possible splitting later. -- Psi edit 08:54, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don;t mean an article for each game in the series, just a seperate article for Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black for the Xbox. Thunderbrand 17:19, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why? There isnt a story difference, just 50 missions and more battles. -- Psi edit 03:09, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think he means one page for the XBOX games, and a separate one for the (S)NES/arcade ones.Virogtheconq 06:15, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've been thinking for a long time that Xbox NG/B should have there own page but I'm now thinking it should get it's own wikibook/strategyWiki page. Irrelevant of its infamous difficulty, there's NG and it's "Master Ninja Tournament"s modes 1,2 and 3, and NGB plus it's missions. Each of those iterations have subtle and major differences, and I'm having trouble finding an unbiased explanation of each (or details about the live tournaments). Is starting a StrategyWiki page just as easy as marching in and opening it up? would it be bad ettiquette to post in NG forums for input, bringing loads of public with no clue about wikipedia's guidlines? Glaven, I've never even created a new Wikipage.,.,)

Shadow Warriors vs. Ninja Gaiden

Technically Shadow Warriors and Ninja Gaiden are, as far as the Europeans and Australians are concerned, two completely different games, although they were both by Tecmo. The arcade "Double Dragon" style beater was known across the two continents as Shadow Warrior, as were the conversions to the ZX Spectrum, C64, Amstrad CPC, Amiga and Atari ST.

The platform game that appeared on the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Gear and the later next-gen remakes are known universally here and in Australia as Ninja Gaiden. Jamyskis Whisper, Contribs Germany 20:05, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Xbox Ninja Gaiden "Mythos"

I just cut out most of that gigantic section of the article. It's not necessary to have detailed descriptions of every plot point in the game, especially here. That section makes the article a lot bigger than it should be. If you feel it should be re-added, aim for brevity. --Vyran 00:21, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
