Gangcheng Road (Chinese: 港城路; pinyin: Gǎngchéng Lù) is a station on Line 6 of the Shanghai Metro, currently serving as the northern terminus of the line. Located at the intersection of Gangcheng Road and North Zhangyang Road, it began operations on December 29, 2007.[1] The station is situated near the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone. Gangcheng Road station will also be a station on Line 10 when the second phase of the line is complete in, thus becoming an interchange station. The extension was expected to open in 2018,[2] however, it has been delayed with no official announcement. It is now expected to open in 2019 or 2020.
