Early El Paso County Colorado map. Husted was between Monument and Colorado Springs, Colorado and its site is now in the northern portion of the Air Force Academy.

Husted was a settlement on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad and located thirteen miles north of Colorado Springs. Residents were involved in ranching and lumber businesses.[1] In 1878, a railroad post office was moved from Southwater to Husted. The post office closed in 1920.[2]
