Isaban is an unincorporated community located on Fourpole Creek, adjacent to the water body Fivepole Creek[citation needed], in McDowell and Mingo counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Isaban was named in honor the wife of a coal company's owner. Her name was Isabelle. Isaban was a booming coal town in its heyday, but now holds a small community. There are two churches located in Isaban: Isaban Church of God and Isaban Baptist Church.
