The JW Marriott Edmonton Ice District & Residences is a mixed-use skyscraper being built in Edmonton, Alberta in the new Ice District. It will be a combination of J.W. Marriott hotel and residential condos named Legends Private Residences.[9] Construction began in November 2014 and is planned to be opened in late 2018.[10]

The hotel will be located between the 1st and 22nd floors, and will[9] have, have 356-rooms, 2,300 square metres (25,000 sq ft) of conference hall space and a 930 square metres (10,000 sq ft) ballroom.[11] Located from the 23rd and the 54th floors will be the Legends Private Residences with high end condominiums to buy or rent.[9] The building will be a total of 55 floors, at a height of 192.95 m (633.0 ft) once completed.[9] The building will be a total of 55 floors, at a height of 192.95 m (633.0 ft) once completed.[12] Originally the hotel was going to be a Delta hotel, but Marriott closed the purchase deadline first.[13] It will be the third JW Marriott hotel in Canada, after the JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa in the District Municipality of Muskoka in Ontario, and the JW Marriott parq in Vancouver, British Columbia.[14]
