Kyger Creek Power Plant is a 1-Gigawatt coal-fired power station at Cheshire, Ohio, USA operated by the Ohio Valley Electric Corporation. Launched into service in 1955,[1] the plant is located just 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) downstream along the Ohio River from a much larger, newer coal-fired Gavin Power Plant. It has one of the tallest chimneys in the world at 305 metres (1,001 ft), built in 1980.
