On 19 March 2024 14 people were killed and 37 injured in a bus accident in Linfen, Shanxi, Northern China.

The accident occurred a week after an accident in Tianjin, where one person was killed and 37 were injured when a coach bus rear-ended a roadside stopped local bus, with both vehicles going up in flames.[1][2]

The accident took place during the afternoon of 19 March in Linfen, Shanxi, Northern China with a bus carrying 51 passengers. The vehicle crashed into a tunnel wall along the Hohhot–Beihai Expressway. Due to the accident many people were trapped inside the bus. The accident ultimately killed 14 people and injured another 37 people. The early reports of the Chinese state broadcaster CCTV did not state anything about the cause or circumstances of the accident.[2][1]
