This article lists the highest railway stations in the world.[1] Before the opening of the Qinghai–Tibet Railway in 2006, a line passing through Tanggula Mountains and Tanggula Pass, the highest stations were located on the Andean railways of Peru, Bolivia and Argentina.

This list contains only some stations. There are more 5 stations higher than 2,000 m and 15 stations higher than 1,000 m in India not included in this list to avoid cluttering the list. There may be more such stations in other countries but only the highest station in that country may have been listed here.
