Currently this seat belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Dr. Rita Bahuguna Joshi who won in last Assembly election of 2017 Uttar Pradesh Lagislative Elections defeating Samajwadi Party candidate Aparna Yadav by a margin of 33,796 votes.[1]
