Maulana Sadr-ud-Din (died 14–15 November 1981[1]) became the first missionary of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat-i-Islam Lahore in the Wilmersdorfer Moschee (Berlin Mosque) in 1922.[citation needed] In 1939, he produced the first German translation of the Koran.[citation needed] From October 13, 1951 until November 15, 1981 he was the second Emir of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement.
