Men I Trust is a Canadian indie electro-pop band from Montreal, Canada.

Career

Men I Trust is a Montreal-based band,[1] founded in 2014 by high school friends Jessy and Dragos who reunited in the music department at Université Laval.[2] They were later joined by Emma, a singer and guitarist.[3] They released a self-titled EP in 2014 and later performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Quebec City Summer Festival, and M for Montreal. They released the album Headroom in 2015.[4] The band toured in China, including the following cities, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai.[3] The band released the single and music video, "I hope to be around," in 2017.[5] In 2018, Men I Trust released the single "Show Me How" with a self-directed[6] music video.[7][8] In 2018, the band had a North American tour.[6]

Artistry

NPR calls Men I Trust an electro-pop band.[9] Our Culture Mag described the band as indie.[5] The Fader calls the band dream pop.[8]

Members

Jessy, a bassist, is a cofounder of the band.[3]

Dragos is a cofounder of the band.[3]

Emma is a singer and guitarist. She joined the band after it was formed by high school friends Dragos and Jessy.[3] She has a solo project called Bernache.[6]
