The Taipei Metro Nanjing Fuxing Station is a station of Line 1 and Line 3 located on the border between Songshan and Zhongshan districts, Taipei, Taiwan.[2] Formerly Nanjing East Road Station, it was renamed on November 15, 2014 to avoid confusion since Line 3 runs almost entirely under Nanjing East Road, and becoming a transfer station connecting the two lines.[3][4]
Station overview
The station is located at the intersection of Fuxing North Rd. and Nanjing East Rd. It has two side platforms, one island platform and eight exits.
The Line 3 station is a three-level, underground station underneath Nanjing East Rd. Excavation depth is 25 meters, while the station is 240 meters long and 22 meters wide. Seven additional exits has been added along with the completion of Line 3.[5]
Public art
The Line 3 station has a theme of "Reflective Mosaic of Light".[5] The focus is on variations of light and shadow, and turns the station into a miniature art museum with artworks in every corner.
