^"J. D. Graves of Peru Dies". Lincoln Evening Journal. January 22, 1937. J. D. Graves of Peru, attorney, real estate and insurance agent for many years, died Friday morning in an Omaha hospital at the age of 85. Though retired and in failing health for some years, he became seriously ill only this week. A resident of Peru nearly all his life, Mr. Graves was one of those foremost in obtaining state teachers' college for the town, and was associated with T. J.
