No Mario's Sky is a fangame created by ASMB games. The game combined the gameplay mechanics of Super Mario Bros. and No Man's Sky.[1][2][3] Although the game was well-received, Nintendo shut down the game with a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice. In response, the game was re-released under the title DMCA's Sky.[4][5]
Development
On August 2016, after the release of No Man's Sky, No Mario's Sky was created by ASMB Games, a team based in Australia, for Ludum Dare 36 in 72 hours.[1][4] The team consisted of Alex McDonald (art and sound director),[6] Sam Izzo, Max Cahill, and Ben Porter.[6][7]
