It was a coalition operation, but the Brittish were the lead planner. I do not know the numbers, but 2000 Brittish troops vs 1000 ISAF seems to me to be incorrect. Most of the route the convoy took, is located in Kandahar Province where the Canadians were assigned the protection of the convoy.
