Prisoner of the Sun is an audio drama based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. This audio drama was produced by Big Finish Productions.[1]

Plot

The Doctor has spent six years maintaining a dying sun from within, guarded by a genial but mercenary liquid lifeform, the mercurials and aided by a series of android companions. He is convinced that his actions are preventing the deaths of billions. But has he been duped? Shut away from the universe, can he trust what he sees and hears about his situation. In whose interests is he really working?

  • Although Lucie Miller is not the Doctor's companion in this story, Chloe and Daphne are robots modelled after her.

Broadcast

Prisoner of the Sun was broadcast on digital radio station BBC Radio 4 Extra on 16 Jan 2013 as a single hour-long episode.[2][3]
