Regent Airways (Template:Lang-bn) is a Bangladeshi airline owned by HG Aviation Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Habib Group.[3] Regent Airways is based at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.[1][4] It was founded in 2010, and its operations began on 10 November of the same year.[2]

It expanded its fleet with two Boeing 737-700 aircraft on a six-year lease from ILFC,[5] and launched international flights in July 2013.[6]

It is headquartered at Siaam Tower in Uttara, Dhaka.

Destinations

Regent Airways currently flies to four international destinations, along with domestic flights.[4] It launched international flights in 2013 — Kuala Lumpur in July,[6] Bangkok in October,[7] Chittagong-Kolkata flights in October,[8] Dhaka-Kolkata flights in November,[9] and Singapore in December.[9]

The carrier launched flights to Bangkok directly from Chittagong on 27 April 2014.[10]

In April 2016, the carrier launched flights to Muscat, its fifth international destination.[11]

It plans to commence flights to Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Doha and Jeddah in the near future.[4] Regent Airways serves the following destinations (as of September 2014):[4][12]

Fleet

As of August 2014, the average age of the Regent Airways fleet is 12 years.[a][1]

Services

Seating configuration

The Bombardier Dash-8-Q300s accommodates 50 passengers in an all economy layout. The seating configuration is in a 2-2 layout, with all seats having a pitch of 32".[14]

The Boeing 737-700s seats 126 passengers, with 12 business class and 114 economy class seats. Business class is set out in a 2-2 seating configuration with 45" reclining seats. Economy class is set out in 3-3 configuration with 33" seat pitch.[14]

In-flight amenities

On board short domestic flights, snacks such as sandwiches, roasted peanuts, mango bars, and beverages are provided.[16] The two Bombardier Dash-8-Q300s do not have in-flight entertainment.[16]

In international flights, traditional cuisine is provided.[16] In-flight meals are supplied by Biman Flight Catering Centre. On board the Boeing 737-700s, in-flight entertainment is provided through the Passenger Service Units (PSU) in economy class, while personal iPads are provided in business class.[16]
