His total lack of ethics effectively nullified his academic background. So he was neither a true medical doctor (who is obligated to follow the Hippocratic oath of "first do no harm") nor a true academic (who is inherently obligated to discover fundamental truths). Kehoe's entire career was thus heavily laced with glaring conflicts of interest, which he succeeded in profiting handsomely from. undo
