Runemaster was a planned role-playing video game developed by Paradox Development Studio.[1] Formerly known as Project Nero, the game-story was to be based on Norse mythology, and the game was set to feature procedurally generated content.[2] The Clausewitz Engine was planned to be used in the game, the first time it had been used for anything except a strategy game.[3]

The game was set to include six of the nine worlds of Norse Mythology:[4] Midgård, Jotunheim, Muspelheim, Helheim, Alfheim & Svartalfheim.[5] On 4 December 2014, Paradox Interactive announced that development of the game had been suspended.
