Shane Cassells is a Fianna Fáil politician, and Teachta Dála (TD) for the Meath West constituency, elected at the 2016 general election on his third attempt.

He has been a member of Meath County Council, and twice mayor of Navan. He is a nephew of footballer Joe Cassells and of Peter Cassells, head of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions.[1]
