Socialism in Estonia has a long tradition, emerging from the struggle against imperialism and represents a significant part of the country's historical political heritage.

History

The biggest social democratic party in Estonia is Sotsiaaldemokraatlik Erakond (SDE). In 2011, SDE has 19 seats in the 101-seat Estonian Parliament. Another left-wing political party in Estonia is the Estonian Left Party.
