It's unclear to me whether this was the first comma in a parenthetical clause (in which case another comma was missing after the clause) or not (in which case this removal of the comma is correct). One comma only is not correct in any case. I choose to remove to at least make the sentence correct. This meant the final sentence said that the researcher mentioned at the start seconded an opinion from someone unnamed, making it look like he was seconding his own opinion. This edit doesn’t solve the problem with the final sentence but it does at least highlight that there is an issue and that it is caused by the sentence before. undo Tags: Mobile edit Mobile web edit
