A confusing comment.
[edit]At the lower part of the page the following comment is made: The Bulgarian film Sweet and Sour was being aired by TVR and has remained linked to the earthquake in the mind of Romanians. When the "Sweet and Sour" link is followed, it takes you to a film called "Sweet and Sour". The PROBLEM is that you are told it is a French-Italian film... NOT a Bulgarian film. Perhaps the film was dubbed or subtitled in Bulgarian, I do not know. PortsmouthPete (talk) 06:06, 24 February 2011 (UTC) PortsmouthPete PortsmouthPete (talk) 06:06, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- It was indeed a Bulgarian film, but the name was 'Sweet and Bitter', as referenced in the linked article. The whole paragraph should probably go away, as there is nothing notable about the film or its [currently] perceived connection to the event. merryXIV (talk) 22:19, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Named after Vrancea?!
[edit]I know very well where the epicentre has been, but with some 1,400 dead in Bucharest out of a total of c. 1,550 fatalities, the epicentre isn't what first comes to mind. I'm sure the 1940 quake was also centered in V., but nobody calls it 'the 1940 Vrancea quake'. It sounds made up for Wiki and/or int'l consumption. Those who lived through it, of whom probably millions are still alive, will never call it that way, whether they've lost someone or not. Arminden (talk) 18:19, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
