There reads The following year, the International Tennis Federation rechristened the competition the Fed Cup, and adopted a Davis Cup-style format in which all ties were held in one of the competing countries.
"in which all ties were held in one of the competing countries"? The old one was just that: all ties (whole tournament) in one country (Germany). So what was the change? I thought in the Davis Cup-style each tie is played in either one of the 2 countries, and each tie in a different country. 109.240.237.101 (talk) 07:17, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
